We have a wide and exciting range of enrichment opportunities including sports clubs, music and choir, musical theatre productions, STEM activities, Duke of Edinburgh, chaplaincy activities, leadership programmes and subject-specific enrichment clubs. There is something for every student, regardless of their interests or experience.
Here are the timetables for this term:
What is the importance of enrichment?
Enrichment activities help students develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and communication skills. They provide opportunities to discover new talents, build friendships and enhance personal development beyond the classroom. They also support character and faith formation, encouraging students to live out Gospel values through service, leadership and participation in the wider school community.
What leadership opportunities are available for students?
Students can take on leadership roles through our School Council, House Captains, Sports Leaders, Chaplaincy Leaders, Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, STEM Champions, Prefects and mentoring opportunities. These roles help students develop responsibility, confidence and valuable life skills.
How do you balance the arts, STEM and sports?
We believe every student should have access to a broad and balanced education. We place equal value on achievement in the arts, STEM subjects and sport, offering a wide range of clubs, competitions, performances and enrichment activities that allow every student to flourish.
What are some extracurricular highlights during the school year?
Highlights include school productions and concerts, sporting fixtures and tournaments, STEM competitions (including building a go-kart from scratch and racing it!), charity and fundraising events, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, educational visits and faith-based activities. These events create memorable experiences and strengthen our school community.
What advice would you give a student trying something for the first time?
Be brave and give it a go. Everyone starts somewhere, and trying something new is often the best way to discover a passion or talent you never knew you had. Don’t worry about being perfect; focus on enjoying the experience and learning along the way.
