Our Faith
Our Faith
Our School Prayer
Loving God,
Bless our school community here in St. Anthony’s.
Let us follow in the footsteps of Catherine McAuley.
May we be inspired by her determination to educate, empower, and serve the poor.
Let us work together to create a just world in the true spirit of our Mercy tradition.
And as she said: “…to resolve to be good today but better tomorrow.”
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Living Our Faith at St. Anthony’s
At St. Anthony’s Girls’ Catholic Academy, we are a Catholic school dedicated to following Christ’s mission to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Our Mercy ethos is the heart and soul of our community, shaping every element of our lives together. Inspired by our rich history and the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, we continue to take pride in fostering a community that reflects the vision of Catherine McAuley.
As a school, we strive to embody our Mercy Ethos:
- Christ-Centred.
- Faith-Enlightened.
- Build Communities.
- Show Concern for the Poor.
- Pursue Excellence.
Faith Formation at St. Anthony’s
Catholic education is more than academics; it’s about nurturing the whole person. At St. Anthony’s, we aim to foster the faith of every student through living out our Catholic faith. We encourage the deepening of faith through sacramental understanding, prayer, worship, and character education.
Our Commitment to Excellence and Growth
St. Anthony’s is committed to:
- Academic Excellence: Providing high-quality education that prepares students for success through critical thinking and intellectual growth.
- Character and Moral Development: Instilling values like compassion, respect, integrity, and a dedication to ethical living.
- Community and Relationships: Cultivating a nurturing, supportive environment where every member feels valued and connected to the broader Catholic faith.
- Evangelisation: Inspiring students and their families to live their faith actively and share it with the world.
- Service and Social Justice: Encouraging active engagement with issues like poverty and inequality, guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
By anchoring our school in these values, we aim to empower young women to live lives of faith, hope, and service, contributing positively to their communities and beyond. In all we do, we remain inspired by Catherine McAuley’s timeless words that we are: “to be shining lamps giving light to all around you.”
