About Us
Welcome to St. Anthony’s, we are a Catholic Academy for girls aged 11-18 years, within the Mercy tradition. We are proud to be part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust. The foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, Venerable Catherine McAuley instructed her community to “be shining lamps, giving light to all around us”. This quote is at the heart of our school life today and inspires us to be the very best version of ourselves.
We strive to create an inclusive environment where all are nurtured, understood and cared for, our academy was established in 1904 and has been delivering high-quality education for young women for over a century. We believe that education has the power to transform lives, we have an outstanding reputation and a strong track record of academic achievement. We provide an extensive programme of enrichment activities to develop the whole person, with the aim of raising aspirations and broadening their life experiences.
It is important to us that home and school work together in partnership, to achieve the best possible outcomes for all students. We look forward to working with parents/carers as your daughter continues on her educational journey.
St. Anthony’s was judged to be ‘Good’ in all categories’ by Ofsted in January 2023.
