Chaplaincy

We are truly fortunate to have Miss Knox as our dedicated Academy Chaplain. She plays a vital role in the spiritual life of our school and is always available to support pupils and staff. You’ll find her based in O’Connell, where our school chapel offers a peaceful space for quiet reflection and prayer.

Miss Knox leads our spiritual celebrations throughout the year, including:

  • Weekly Mass every Friday at 8:30am, with priests from our local parishes taking turns to celebrate.
  • Special liturgies and activities during Advent and Lent to help us prepare for Christmas and Easter.
  • Feast day celebrations and other key moments in the liturgical calendar.

Pupils are warmly encouraged to take part in preparing for Mass—whether by reading, serving, helping with music, or setting up the hall. These opportunities help students grow in faith, confidence, and community spirit.

Praying at Home

We recognise that parents and carers are the first educators in faith, and we deeply value the role you play in your child’s spiritual journey. To support you, we’ve created a collection of prayers, many written by our own students, which you can use to lead prayer at home.

This prayer collection is updated every half term and is designed to help families come together in reflection and faith.
