St. Aidan’s and St. Anthony’s Catholic Sixth Form

For generations, St. Aidan’s and St. Anthony’s have worked in close partnership to deliver a rich and diverse post-16 curriculum to students from both schools—and beyond. Since September 2018, we’ve proudly offered a joint Sixth Form provision, welcoming students from across Sunderland and surrounding areas.
Academic Excellence
Our Sixth Form is built on a strong tradition of outstanding academic achievement. Recent results speak for themselves:
- 17% of students achieved A-A grades*
- 44% achieved A-B grades*
- 25% of all qualifications were awarded at the highest levels: A-A / Distinction – Distinction**
These results reflect our commitment to helping every student reach their full potential and progress to top universities, competitive apprenticeships, and rewarding careers.

- The Briery (St. Aidan’s)
- Gabriel House (St. Anthony’s)
