Catholic Life

As a Mercy School, we are deeply committed to the mission of the Church and the values of our Mercy Ethos, guiding students in their personal faith journey and growth in virtue. Inspired by the call to be “shining lamps giving light to all around us,” we strive each day to live out the Gospel through prayer, service, and action.

Faith is at the heart of our school community. Students are given rich opportunities to take on leadership roles within the Catholic life of the school, including participation in the Faith into Action Award, the John Paul II Award, and our dynamic Chaplaincy Group. These experiences help students deepen their faith, develop a sense of purpose, and become compassionate leaders.

Charity and outreach are central to our mission. Each year, our school community raises funds for a wide range of local, national, and international causes. Most recently, we raised £3,600 for Maggie’s Cancer Care during Advent, while also supporting organisations such as CAFOD, SVP, St Cuthbert’s Care, and many others.

Through faith, service, and community, we empower our students to make a meaningful difference in the world around them—living out the Gospel not just in words, but in action.
