Parents

At St. Anthony’s we recognise the vital role that parents and carers play in ensuring that all students have an enjoyable and successful learning experience at our academy. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in encouraging students to follow all academy procedures so that they are punctual, polite and respectful. We have high expectations of behaviour and take pride in providing a supportive, safe and happy environment for all of our students.

Parents are encouraged to attend parents’  evenings during the academic year as well as open evenings to discuss option choices for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 study. We hold a range of events throughout the year that parents are also welcome to attend, such as musical performances and various charity events.

For further information about our events, please consult the school calendar.

Students at St. Anthony’s have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular clubs and activities; parents’ support with this is greatly appreciated. During busy exam times and assessment periods, parents’ support is also valued; students in all year groups complete assessments throughout the whole academic year. Good attendance and punctuality throughout the year is therefore essential to ensure that your daughter is able to achieve well.

St. Anthony’s was judged to be ‘Outstanding in all categories’ by Ofsted in March 2013, and we have consistently high results in our GCSEs and A Levels.

If you are a new or prospective parent of a student at our academy, we are happy for you to contact us to discuss any aspect of your daughter’s entry to St. Anthony’s or to arrange a visit. Please contact us by telephone or via our website contact form.
